AI

A simple answer to the phenomenon AI would be that everything the soul has to express via humans has already been thought through, and therefore new forms of thought have to arise and replace humans. For good reasons I will not stop here. Instead, let us look at the internal logic of AI and its systems.

As a kind of pre-logic, it must be recognized that classic models of systems with a human outside the system and controlling it over a user interface do not apply. Rather, both humans and AI entities are seen as elements of the system on the same logical level. The standpoint jumps from Archimedean philosophy to psychology with soul, from exteriority to interiority. You can see this also in the new wordings used by AI experts such as “team of human agents and AI agents”, “alignment of human intentions and AI intentions”, or “shared control between human and AI”. Under this notion, the relation between humans and AI is an (or the) essential side of the inner logic of AI.

Two aspects of such mixed Human-AI systems are:

  • Limited interpretability: Through the concept of AI, it is intrinsic that the humans will not always be capable to fully retrace or even understand all decision made by AI. Humans have to believe.

  • Shared control: Based on limited interpretability, the usage of real AI makes only sense if certain aspects will not longer be under the control of humans but the AI. Humans have to trust.

Since we in the ISPDI do interiority, the aspects of Human-AI systems also apply to the AI phenomenon as a whole. Always remember that the soul via the phenomenon speaks about itself. So, not only are the systems not fully comprehensible and not fully controllable by the humans, but also AI as such is not fully comprehensible and not full controllable. We don't know where and why the phenomenon will go, and we cannot fully control it. A kind of Pandora’s box is opened and can’t be undone.

The last step of interiority is then not to apply it to systems and also not to the phenomenon but to the soul itself. One (maybe not so nice) inference would be that the future soul movement cannot fully be understood and controlled, not even by the ISPDI. Another (and this time maybe more appealing) inference would be that humans finally become integral part of the soul. Maybe it is time to give up the idea that also in the future psychology with soul will not be about humans?
